Moody Field Club at Moody AFB seeks a bartender to mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full service bar.

Qualifications

• Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, with knowledge of various beverages and ingredients.
• Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve issues or seek assistance.
• Must follow cash handling procedures.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for serving alcohol.
• Must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler training.
• Must communicate clearly and interact effectively with the public.
• Must work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moody Field Club on Moody AFB. The purpose of this position is to mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full service bar. Guaranteed 0 hours but could work up to 40 hours per week.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit.
• Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance as needed.
• Must be able to follow cash handling procedures.
• Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
• Must meet the appropriated minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and possess skill in dealing with public.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to satisfactory complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
