Job summary
The Bay Club Company is seeking a bartender who can mix and serve drinks while delivering exceptional hospitality to our members and guests at the club. You will handle drink preparation, customer interaction, and on-site service with a focus on quality and safety.
We value experience in bartending, strong communication, and teamwork. The role may require weekend and holiday hours and offers a supportive, energetic work culture with opportunities for growth within the Bay Club family.
Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of bartending experience preferred.
- State Food Handler Certification required.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) state certification required.
- Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities.
- Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Enthusiastic, responsible and dependable team player.
- Self-motivated with initiative and willingness to acquire new skills.
- Well organized with high cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
- Check identification of customers to verify age for alcohol purchases.
- Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per recipes.
- Ring drink orders into computer and handle payments.
- Wash and sterilize glasses, stemware, utensils and bar equipment.
- Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Represent the club professionally in image and communication.
- Work varying hours including weekends and holidays.

- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes.
- Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change.
- Wash and sterilize glasses, stemware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, refusing to serve additional alcoholic beverages, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
- Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies.
- Never touch clean dishes after touching dirty dishes without washing hands first
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate.
- Active participation in events, programs, meetings, and training
- Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response.
- Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days, and evenings.
