Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and current menu offerings.
• Make beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with Virginia ABC laws and responsible alcohol service.
• Accurately process orders and payments using point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of bar areas.
• Stock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
• Prepare garnishes, syrups, mixers, and specialty beverages as required.
• Assist servers by preparing beverage tickets promptly and accurately.
• Participate in weddings, banquets, tournaments, member events, and other special functions.
• Monitor guest consumption and address intoxicated guest situations per policy.
• Complete opening, closing, inventory, cash handling, and side work responsibilities.
• Support beverage service with a positive attitude and teamwork.
• Evening, weekend, holiday, and special event availability is preferred.
