Job summary

Weyland Ventures Hospitality seeks an experienced bartender for on-site service at our Louisville venue. You will welcome guests, take drink orders, and recommend beverages while delivering warm, professional hospitality in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include pre-shift briefings, accurate POS entry, upselling, and maintaining bar cleanliness to ensure an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of standard drink recipes.
• 1 year of restaurant bartending experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preference, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Demonstrate genuine hospitality during every interaction with guests; greet guests, take food and beverage orders, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Attend pre-shift meetings to review service details, VIPs, and specials.
• Record drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Upsell drink and food items at the bar.
• Maintain a clean bar area, glassware, and equipment; perform basic cleaning tasks as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preference, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Demonstrate genuine hospitality during every interaction with our guests; including greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, answering questions, thanking guests, and inviting them to return upon their departure.
• Attend pre-shift meeting to review/communicate information regarding service, VIPs, and Specials.
• Abide by all State and Federal Liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Record drink orders accurately into POS system.
• Maintaining a clean working environment, cleaning bar, tables, washing glasses, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest requests in a polite and professional manner.
• Prepare the following before and during service; fruit, syrups, garnishes, glassware, bar equipment, and all other preparation tasks instructed by Beverage Manager, FOH Manager or General Manager.
• Upsell drink and food items at the bar.
• Arrange glasses and bottles into an attractive and functional display.
• Answer guest questions about food and beverage preparation details and communicate specific guest needs to the kitchen and bar.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or instructed by management.
