Job summary

Serai is seeking an experienced, energetic Bartender to join our opening team at the upscale restaurant in Louisville, KY. The role involves crafting high-quality cocktails, serving wine and beer, and delivering attentive hospitality in a fast-paced fine dining setting.

The ideal candidate has strong beverage knowledge, excellent guest service skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required; fine dining experience preferred.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits; mixology/hospitality certification preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Must meet Kentucky’s legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Serai’s recipes and quality standards.
• Recommend cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage pairings to enhance the guest dining experience.
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
• Accurately process beverage orders and operate the POS system.
• Confirm patrons are of legal drinking age and follow all state and federal laws for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
• Assist servers with beverage service during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work duties.
