Job summary

José Andrés Group in Las Vegas seeks a dedicated bartender who delivers exceptional beverage experiences. You will manage the bar, handle cash/POS, and collaborate with front and back of house teams to maintain top service during busy periods.

The role requires cocktail mastery, knowledge of wine and spirits, and the ability to describe dishes and pairings with confidence. Competitive benefits and flexible schedules accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Thorough knowledge of menu items and service procedures.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
• This position will spend 100% of the time standing or walking.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and up to 30 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Exceed guests’ expectations by providing an authentic, friendly, enthusiastic, professional culinary and beverage experience paired with impeccable service.
• Maintain and oversee all aspects of the bar including a cash drawer/POS system and support of teammates.
• Precisely prepare and execute an exciting menu of handmade cocktails.
• Articulate appealing descriptions of items and suggest beverage pairings.
• Participate in R&D of cocktail creations with the team and maintain service steps during peak hours.

• Exceed guests’ expectations by providing an authentic, friendly, enthusiastic, professional culinary and beverage experience paired with impeccable service and a genuine sense of hospitality.


• Maintain and oversee all aspects of the bar including a cash drawer/POS system, customer consumption and support of your front of house and back of house teammates.


• Precisely prepare and execute an exciting menu of handmade cocktails.


• A passion for continuous learning and discovery by embracing an active and innovative approach to expanding your knowledge of food and beverage.


• Ability to articulate an appealing description of every item we offer. Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods as well as suggestive beverage pairings.


• Participates in the R&D part of cocktails creations with the team!


• Ability to maintain expected steps of service during high volume peak hours.


• At least an intermediate understanding of beer, wine, and spirits is required.


• A knowledge of Greek, Lebanese and Turkish wines is a plus!
