The U.S. Department of the Navy seeks a qualified beverage server for its Fleet and Family Readiness Program in Great Lakes, IL. Key responsibilities include preparing and serving drinks, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness in the bar area. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience with beverage service and adhere to sanitation standards.
This position is located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program NAVSTA Great Lakes Epicenter in Great Lakes, IL. The purpose of this position is to provide beverage service in a dining room, bar/lounge facility.
Duties
Sets up bar for operation, including garnishes for mixed drinks. Mixes and serves a limited variety of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.
Serves patrons directly, receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to the patron.
At close of facility, completes the Daily Activity Report (DAR), verifies amount of money collected and drops the cashier bag into the safe.
Performs basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washes bar equipment, glassware, utensils, etc., to maintain a constant and clean working area.
Ensures all current sanitation requirements are followed and maintained.
