Job summary

Applebee’s and IHOP have come together under one roof to deliver a unique dining and bar experience. This role supports both brands in a fast-paced setting, crafting beverages and delivering food with hospitality and accuracy.

Operates blenders and bar equipment, handles payments, and maintains cleanliness across duties. Family-friendly environment with opportunities for merit-based advancement and tip-based earnings.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
• Able to operate blenders, frozen drink machines and other bar equipment.
• Transports and carries objects up to 15 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.
• Must obtain or possess and/or obtain a valid food handler’s card prior to employment.
• In Oregon must obtain OLCC Liquor permit within 30 days of hire.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Interacts verbally with bar guests to create a friendly, upbeat atmosphere.
• Serves food and drinks to all bar guests.
• Completes opening and closing side work.
• Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks.
• Presents guest checks, makes change and processes charges as needed.
• Processes employee and/or manager food orders.
• Relays food orders to kitchen via POS system.
• Performs additional cleaning tasks as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following specifications. Serves food drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner.

Specific Functions and Duties:

• 1. Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• 2. Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
• 3. Serves food and drinks to all bar guests.
• 4. Completes assigned opening and closing side work.
• 5. Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks.
• 6. Presents guest checks to bar patrons. Makes change and/or completes any necessary charge card transactions.
• 7. Processes employee and/or manager food orders.
• 8. Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system.
• 9. Completes extra cleaning tasks as assigned.

• 1. Stands entire shift.
• 2. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other staff members.
• 3. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and lift bus trays, tubs, and glass racks frequently weighing 25 pounds.

• 1. Minimum wage plus tips.
• 2. Merit increases based upon performance.
• 3. Semi-annual performance evaluations.
