Job Description

• Greet customers and take food orders; provide product information and look for opportunities to "up-sell" products.
• Follow recipes and/or product directions for mixing beverages.
• Collect payments and operate cash registers for drinks and/or food served, following company-established cash handling policies and procedures; secure all monies at the end of each shift.
• Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication and handle intoxicated guests appropriately.
• Adhere to all customer service, adult beverage, and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure the bar is clean, sanitized, and well-stocked.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Require at least 1 year of closely related bartending experience; experience in high-volume or fast casual dining environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including their preparation and presentation; stay updated on new beverage recipes.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, policies, and converse comfortably with customers.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand during work.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
• Frequently immerses hands in water and water with chemicals.
