Job description

POSITION SUMMARY : The bartender is responsible for making, mixing, pouring, and/or creating frozen daiquiris, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for guests at the bar and store. The role involves providing prompt and friendly service, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary.
• Offer samples of frozen daiquiris and suggest other beverage items to increase sales.
• Take guest drink orders from patrons at the bar or from servers.
• Input orders into the POS system accurately.
• Prepare drinks as ordered by guests.
• Slice fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Clean the bar and arrange glassware for an attractive display.
• Prepare bills and accept payments or refer guests to the cashier.
• Clear or reset the bar after each guest leaves.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Serve as a barback when needed, including filling machines and cleaning the bar.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS :

• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and co-workers.
• Possess strong work ethics and a positive attitude aligned with company values.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize tasks efficiently.
• Valid alcohol service certification.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS :

• Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with stamina.
• Stand and walk for 2-8 hours daily.
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent reaching, feeling, bending, stooping, carrying, fine manipulation, and keyboarding.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• Capable of working in both warm and cool indoor environments.
• Must tolerate noise from music and customer activity.

OTHER :

• Exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, and other sharp objects.
