Apex Entertainment Albany is seeking a talented Bartender to join our fast-paced team. You will mix cocktails, beers, and beverages with speed and accuracy, while providing friendly, knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring responsible service.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of bartending in a high-volume setting, a TIPS certification, strong cash handling skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
• TIPS certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Solid cash handling experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand long hours.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Event bartending experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and stay cool under pressure.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Craft the Perfect Pour

• Mix a variety of cocktails, beers, and beverages with speed, skill, and accuracy
• Follow established recipes while adding your own flair when appropriate
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on drinks, spirits, and pairings
• Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption

Deliver An Exceptional Guest Experience

• Create a fun, welcoming environment where every guest feels like a regular
• Share your knowledge of our menu and drink offerings
• Handle guest inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Engage with patrons to make their visit memorable - every time

Keep the Bar Running Smoothly

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking and inventory checks
• Ensure all health and safety standards are met
• Help out wherever needed - from answering phones to assisting servers

Stay Flexible & Aware

• Be tuned in to what's happening around the facility to anticipate guest needs
• Step into special events, private parties, or corporate gatherings as needed
• Be ready to take on any tasks assigned by management to support the team

Be a True Team Player

• Communicate clearly with fellow staff and leadership
• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced setting
• Support your teammates to ensure smooth service throughout every shift

What We're Looking For:

• Must be 18 years or older
• 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
• TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Solid cash handling experience
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods
• Availability to work flexible hours - nights & weekends
• Event bartending experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask and remain cool under pressure
