ARK is seeking a Bartender/Restaurant Attendant to join our busy restaurant team. You will mix and serve beverages, assist with food prep at the start of each shift using the Ready Chef system, and ensure safe food handling and sanitation standards.

You will deliver knowledgeable recommendations to guests, maintain a clean bar and prep area, and help process checks and POS transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • TABC and TIPS certifications required.
  • Must follow safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Strong guest-focused customer service experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify customers' ages and serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with laws and policies.
  • Prepare and serve beverages including wine, beer, liquor, mixed drinks and cocktails.
  • Provide beer and wine recommendations and friendly service.
  • Prepare and store a small selection of dinner items using Ready Chef at the start of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary bar and food prep area throughout the shift.
  • Record daily sales totals and enter transactions into the POS system.
  • Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing duties.
  • Collaborate with hotel/restaurant staff to enhance guest experience.

Job description

Our busy restaurant is looking for a Bartender/Restaurant Attendant with a positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service. This position is ideal for an energetic, organized, customer-focused individual who enjoys meeting new people, working in a fast-paced environment, and creating a great experience for our guests.
In addition to bartending responsibilities, this position will complete food preparation and storage of food at the beginning of each shift, using the Ready Chef system to prepare a small selection of dinner menu items for restaurant guests. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with both beverages and food while consistently following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Compensation: $15 - $17 hourly

Qualifications
  • Previous bartending, restaurant, or food service experience preferred.
  • Current TABC certification required.
  • Current TIPS certification required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality.
  • Ability to safely prepare, handle, store, and serve food in accordance with proper food safety procedures.
  • Comfortable learning and using the Ready Chef food preparation system.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Verify customers' ages by checking valid identification and serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, liquor, mixed drinks, and specialty cocktails.
  • Provide knowledgeable beer and wine recommendations and deliver friendly, attentive customer service.
  • Prepare and properly store a small selection of dinner menu items at the beginning of each shift.
  • Use the Ready Chef system to prepare food items for restaurant guests according to established procedures.
  • Follow all proper food handling, food storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized bar and food preparation area throughout the shift.
  • Order necessary bar supplies and monitor wine, liquor, beer, glassware, and other inventory; notify management of shortages.
  • Complete all restocking and cleaning duties as directed, including opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Ensure customer checks and tabs are accurately processed and paid.
  • Record daily sales totals and accurately enter transactions into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Work cooperatively with hotel and restaurant team members to provide an exceptional guest experience.
