Job summary

Torsap Thai Kitchen is seeking a friendly bartender to ensure guests have a great experience whether dining or enjoying drinks at the bar. You will mix and serve beverages, greet guests, and coordinate with servers for smooth service.

This role requires previous bartending and serving experience, strong English communication, and ServSafe alcohol certification (or equivalent). You will maintain a clean bar, manage a cash drawer, and ensure guests feel welcome and well attended.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience is required.
• Three years of serving experience is required.
• Excellent oral communication skills are required.
• Positive interpersonal skills are required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage orders from guests or servers.
• Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages per standards.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining or drinking at the restaurant. Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guest’s needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

General Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guests.
• Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, and prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
• Serve food items to guests when they are seated at the bar.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and distillery products.
• Maintain a clean working area by cleaning as needed.
