The Kitchen Bistro in Austin seeks an energetic Bartender to create memorable drinks for bar and dining room guests. You will take orders, mix cocktails, and assist with food service while upholding hospitality standards.

Formación

• Must have at least two years of bartending experience and be passionate about hospitality.

Responsabilidades

• Take drink orders and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
• Mix ingredients for cocktails and serve wine and beer.
• Take food orders and assist guests at bar and tables as needed.
• Process payments and handle cash.
• Maintain bar setup, glassware, and instrument cleanliness; assist with opening/closing.
• Promote restaurant community and culture with professionalism and energy.
• Support eco-conscious practices and teamwork across staff.

Summary

The Kitchen Bistro in Austin is a community gathering spot featuring a seasonal menu and shared plates set in a modern, rustic atmosphere. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and executing, from memory, all classic drinks as well as cocktails on the menu for guests at the bar and in the dining room. Our bartenders support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting, and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy, outgoing individual who will help to foster connections with friends, family, and the community through service, food, and drinks. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. We offer a unique, fun environment with the opportunity to grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Service aspects include guest relations, and the ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality, while always maintaining an environment of hospitality.


• Take drink orders from patrons or servers and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes. Mix ingredients for cocktails and serve wine and beer.


• Take food orders and serve guests who dine at the bar and tables when necessary.


• Process collect and handle payments.


• Responsible for setup, maintenance, and operation of the bar including washing, sterilizing, and polishing glassware and instruments. Assist with proper opening and closing of the restaurant.


• Promote and embrace the restaurant’s community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, outgoing nature, and a pleasant, professional appearance.


• Support the restaurant's vision and responsibility of being eco-conscious.


• Assist servers and staff as needed. Perform related work as requested; model and promote teamwork.

Working Conditions

• Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.


• Working with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment as well as operating office equipment.


• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk.


• May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.


• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch.


• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 45 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
