Job summary

Peachtree Group is seeking a skilled bartender to join the team at AC Hotel Austin Hill Country and Violet Sky Rooftop Lounge. You will mix drinks, deliver guest-focused service, and maintain bar standards in a fast-paced upscale environment.

The role requires experience behind a bar, knowledge of cocktails, and strong communication skills. Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is expected at an on-site, luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in hotel, restaurant, or upscale lounge.
• Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques and beverage trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess required certifications (e.g., TABC, ServSafe).
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, tools, and supplies.
• Monitor guest behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws and hotel policies.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed, including garnishes, mixers, and spirits.
• Collaborate with restaurant and lounge staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of food and beverages.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar for service, including opening and closing duties.
• Participate in training sessions and stay updated on new menu items, promotions, and hotel offerings.
