Qualifications

Primary Functions And Responsibilities

Understand and ensure excellent guest experience per the standards, policies and procedures set forth by the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

• Deliver high-quality beverage service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, balancing speed, accuracy, professionalism and the guest experience while driving bar revenue.
• Engage guests actively and consistently to increase sale opportunities, including but not limited to souvenir cups, intermission drink orders, specialty selections and online ordering.
• Maintain the highest level of accuracy and integrity in product handling and cash and credit card transactions, ensuring strict compliance with all financial controls and standards established by the Fox cities Performing Arts Center.
• Maintain a safe environment and address concerns appropriately, including but not limited to:
  • b. Verifying a guest’s legal drinking age appropriately
  • c. Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
  • d. Keeping a clean workspace and surrounding area throughout shift
• Ensure storage rooms, bars, catering kitchen and staff storage are consistently cleaned, organized and stocked as directed by supervisor.
• Communicate using a radio with staff and supervisors in accordance with the Center’s standards.
• Complete cash handling reports and forms as required.
• Adhere to the dress code at all times throughout shift.

Secondary Functions

• Direct guests confidently throughout the front of house, including but not limited to: seating locations, event spaces, bathrooms and ADA services.
• Assist with valet service as needed to provide efficient guest service, including but not limited to cash handling and administering keys appropriately.
• Provide a custom guest experience as a suite attendant at private events and specific service locations which require advanced skills and training, including but not limited to:
  • a. Ability to use critical thought to understand and address the needs of the guest appropriately
  • b. Attend to the entire service location to ensure exceptional guest experience
  • c. Effectively communicate with other teams to ensure event success
  • d. Knowledge and understanding of premium wine selections
  • e. Knowledge and understanding of donor lounge and suite benefits
  • f. Recognize frequent guests and donors
• Engage guests actively to support Center initiatives, including but not limited to seasonal fundraising campaigns.
• Attend Center trainings and meetings asassigned.
• Other duties asassigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older with 1 year bartending, cash handling and/or customer service experience required.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid City of Appleton bartending license.
