Arbor Lodging Management in Ann Arbor is seeking a bartender to greet guests, learn preferences, and craft beverages while delivering friendly, attentive service.

You will mix cocktails, upsell menu items, check IDs, restock supplies, and keep the bar clean and organized; prior bar experience and alcohol knowledge are required, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Complies with all state food and beverage regulations (alcohol training and current certificate).
• Proven work experience as a bartender.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
• Fluency in a second language is a plus.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages and serves tables as needed.
• Interacts with customers, takes orders, and serves snacks and drinks.
• Makes recommendations based on guests' preferences.
• Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plans and presents bar menu.
• Checks customers' identification and confirms it meets legal drinking age.
• Restocks and replenishes bar inventory and supplies.
• Stays guest focused and nurtures an excellent guest experience.
• Maintains bar organization, stock, and cleanliness.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

Summary:

The Bartender greets guests, learns their preferences, answers questions, recommends menu items, and prepares and serves beverages and food. Additionally, the bartender upsells items, creates recipes, utilizes proper equipment, and handles basic cleaning duties.
