Job Description : At ShiftPixy, the Bartender provides friendly and responsive service to all guests, ensuring a fun and safe environment. The Bartender prepares cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, has knowledge of common drinks, and makes suggestions to guests. The Bartender also monitors inventory and takes appropriate action to re-stock as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Serves customers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, cocktails, juices, etc.
2. Prepares garnishes and mixes drinks for guests according to recipes
3. Assesses customer needs and preferences and makes recommendations
4. Maintains attractive and orderly appearance of bar area through arrangement of bottles & glassware
5. Ensures bar area adheres to highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
6. Prepares, cleans, and maintains draught beer equipment; connects couplings to beer barrels and to faucet
7. Responsible for ensuring a safe and secure bar area by enforcing standards and procedures for alcohol consumption; complies with all legal regulations
8. Monitors customers' alcohol consumption and refuses service and/or calls for alternate transportation as necessary
9. Maintains supplies via ordering, requisitioning, or re-stocking snacks, liquors, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages; replaces kegs / beer barrels; prepares garnishes
10. Enhances skillset and knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; stays abreast of industry trends; experiments with new cocktail recipes
11. Performs cash-handling functions, including point-of-sale (POS) system, registers, and daily reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen

Physical Requirements :

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to bend, stretch, and twist
• Able to stand for long periods of time

Schedule Availability : Bar Shifts include:

• Friday PM shift 3:00 pm - 12:00 am
• Saturday AM shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Saturday PM shift 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• Saturday PM shift 6:00 pm - 12:30 am / close
• Sunday AM shift 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Sunday PM shift 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• Sunday PM shift 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm / close

Physical Setting :

• Day shift, Evening shift, Holidays, Night shift, Weekend availability
