Job summary

Triple Shift Entertainment in Addison, IL seeks a friendly Bartender to join our front-of-house team. You will mix and serve drinks, upsell, process payments, verify age, stock bar supplies, and maintain cleanliness while upholding core values of Spirit, Courage, Own It, Respect, and Excellence.

You will work with a dynamic venue team in a fast-paced setting, ensuring excellent guest experiences and safe, responsible service. Prior bartending experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds and stay on feet for the shift.
• Mobility required: kneel, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, reach and handle objects.
• May need to climb step stools up to 3 feet.
• Capable of using Courage to work under pressure.
• Excellent time management and prioritization.
• Extreme attention to detail and quality.
• Able to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced setting.
• Previous bartending or similar experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the bar in a timely, responsible manner.
• Serve beer, wine, and other beverages to regulars in a prompt, friendly way.
• Maintain proper bar setup and stock of beverages, garnishes, condiments, and supplies.
• Prepare, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes with portion control.
• Input orders at the POS and generate guest checks for accountability.
• Work with the venue team and follow Teamwork and Clean as you Go policies.
• Handle cash/credit transactions and balance at the end of shifts.
• Ensure responsible service by checking IDs and complying with laws.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of bar area.
• Report to management before ending shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Bartenders are both the face of the bar and the driving force behind bar profitability. They work directly with customers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include prepping the bar, verifying age requirements, processing payments, upselling customers, managing inventory and cleaning bar supplies.

Responsibilities:

• Own It by opening and closing the bar in a timely and responsible manner.
• Gain regular customers by serving beer, wine, and other beverages in a prompt and friendly way by showing Spirit
• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar to include requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest and personnel guests to maintain accountability of all beverages served.
• Practice “Teamwork” and “Clean as you Go” policies with Respect
• Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges and records charges to ensure to balance all money.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Check IDs of all customers consuming alcoholic beverages that appear to be 30 years old and younger and ensure alcohol is served responsibility and according to all laws.
• Responsible for sanitation in and around the bar area.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment through Courage
• Show our Respect by responding urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
• Present Excellence with a professional appearance and mannerisms.
• Work effectively and efficiently with the venue team.
• Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.

401k Information:

You will be eligible to begin contributing to a 401(k) on the first of the month following your first 90 days of service and if you meet the minimum hours criteria. The minimum criteria for employee eligibility are 1) employees must be 21 years of age or older and 2) must work 250 hours in 90 days or an average of 1,000 hours in one year. Triple Shift Entertainment will match qualified 401(k) contributions as follows: $1 for $1 for the first 3% and $0.50 for $1 on the next 2% on what employee contributes to their 401(k) and you are considered fully vested immediately.
