Job summary

Christensen Arms is seeking a Barrel Manufacturing Technician for the weekend shift to operate CNC mills and lathes in the barrel shop. You will load/unload parts, record precise measurements, and ensure continuous production while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role requires precision, the ability to stand for long periods, and the willingness to work overtime. Training is provided to develop machining skills and quality awareness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture barrels.
• Maintain part quality by recording measured dimensions.
• Load/unload parts and keep work area clean and organized.
• Change tools as needed to maintain quality.
• Clock in/out with accurate production numbers.
• Check output for defects and document issues.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain a safe, efficient workstation.

Position Summary

The position of Barrel Manufacturing Technician is an entry level position whose responsibilities include operating, milling, and drilling machines, grinders, and lathes in our machine shop. Barrel Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for the loading/unloading, maintaining part quality by recording measured dimensions, and continuous operation of various CNC equipment. It requires attention to detail and a need to be precise and diligent in understanding and following work instructions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate various CNC mills and lathes

• Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects
• Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
