Job summary

Brown University, Division of Athletics and Recreation, is seeking a part-time Barre Instructor to lead Barre classes under the supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Manager. The role focuses on safe, engaging instruction and promoting healthy lifestyle participation within the Group Fitness Program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one fitness instructor certification(s) through IBBFA or similar Barre certification.
• First Aid, CPR and AED Certification.
• One to two years of relevant experience teaching Barre or group fitness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of challenging and motivating Barre group fitness formats.
• Enforce policies and procedures of the studios and Group Fitness Program.
• Create safe and effective program design and organize studio after each Barre class.
• Promote Brown Group Fitness promotions, programs, services, and special events.
• Motivate Recreation members to continue involvement with programs and services.
