Overview

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Barre Group Fitness Instructor to lead high-energy, low-impact barre classes. The ideal candidate will inspire and challenge participants while ensuring a safe and effective workout experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead barre fitness classes, focusing on strength, flexibility, and balance.
  2. Provide clear instructions and modifications for all fitness levels.
  3. Foster a supportive and welcoming environment.
  4. Maintain class schedules and ensure equipment is properly set up.
Qualifications
  1. Must be at least age 18 years.
  2. Current Barre Certification (e.g., Balletone, Barre Above, or equivalent).
  3. Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to communicate and lead group exercise classes to a diverse group of participants.
  6. First Aid, CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire date.
  7. The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County New Team Member Orientation.
  8. YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Online Training.
  9. Blood borne Pathogen Online Training.
  10. Notify Healthy Living Director within 60 days before First Aid, CPR/AED expiration date. The YMCA provides First Aid, CPR/AED recertification classes.
