Join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health as a Barn Care Coordinator - Carrier Clinic - Per Diem Days.

About Us

Carrier Clinic, a behavioral health system established in 1910, provides compassionate help and supportive healing for patients and their families. Hackensack Meridian Health Carrier Clinic’s East Mountain Youth Lodge offers residential treatment services for adolescents aged 13-18, providing 24-hour clinical, therapeutic treatment for emotional, behavioral, psychiatric, and substance abuse difficulties based on individual resident needs.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the EMYL Barn and pastures, ensuring the overall care of animals including horses, goats, and other small animals.
  • Clean stalls and pastures daily, manage animal movement, feeding, and observation.
  • Groom animals and coordinate veterinary care as needed.
  • Teach horsemanship skills to residents and involve them in barn and animal care activities as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in equine care.
