Delta Schoolcraft Intermediate School District Bark River Harris School District - Harris, Michigan is seeking a part-time Junior High sideline cheer coach for Bark River-Harris Schools. The position runs from mid-August to mid-November with evening hours required.

The coach will oversee all junior high sideline cheer activities, attend all football games, promote academic integrity, guide squad members, ensure safety, and collaborate with other coaches to prepare students for varsity cheer.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cheerleader.
• Experience in coaching a team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all cheerleading appearances and activities for Junior High Sideline Cheer.
• Must attend all Junior High football and JV Football games.
• Actively support the academic integrity of BRH, keeping academics at the highest priority for the students.
• Provide appropriate and necessary guidance, advising, and counseling for the squad members.
• Be knowledgeable of and steadfastly use current accepted safety practices and procedures for all cheer activities and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students.
• Supervise and instruct cheerleaders on skills development and performance routines for all games and events.
• Meet with parents and students prior to season to lay out expectations of the program.
• Collaborate with and work withall Competitive and Sideline Cheer coach to prepare students for Varsity Sideline Cheer.

Bark River-Harris Schools is in need of one JH sideline cheer coach.

Pay: Schedule B
Schedule: Mid-August to Mid - November. Evening hours are required.
