The Lofton Hotel, a premier property in Minneapolis, seeks a Barista for Mezzo Mezzo, a day-to-night restaurant. You will craft Spyhouse Coffee beverages, greet guests, and deliver warm, professional service in a fast-paced environment connected to a top hotel chain.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of coffee and specialty coffee drinks.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Ability to multi-task and self-motivate.
• Basic English writing skills necessary for requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach stock.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve Spyhouse Coffee beverages to brand standards.
• Deliver warm, professional service to hotel guests and local customers.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders and POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and workstations.
• Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing procedures.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and coffee offerings.
• Uphold hotel service standards and food safety guidelines.
