Job summary

Green Sage Café is seeking a Barista/Server to deliver friendly, personalized service while preparing beverages and menu items. This role offers cross-training opportunities across the kitchen and growth within the company, with a focus on guest experience.

Shifts run 7 a.m.–4 p.m. with no late nights, and the cafe opens 8 a.m.–3 p.m. You’ll gain hands-on kitchen skills, learn house recipes, and contribute to a positive, customer-focused culture at Green Sage Café.

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen duties—including dishwashing, food prep, and basic line cook responsibilities
• Greet every customer with fast, friendly, and personalized service
• Handle customer requests and concerns with patience and a positive attitude
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens
• Learn, practice, and safely operate all required equipment
• Take orders quickly and accurately, including proper payment and cash handling
• Prepare hot and cold beverages accurately according to house recipes
• Deliver orders to customers promptly and correctly
• Keep dining areas clean and welcoming through bussing, wiping tables, and general upkeep
• Complete prep, restocking, cleaning, side work, and opening/closing duties per company checklists
