Job summary

Green Sage Café is seeking a hardworking Barista/Server who is excited to grow with us, across the whole café. We invest in our people with cross-training in the kitchen and opportunities for advancement, while serving a diverse customer base with dietary needs.

Shifts run 7 a.m.–4 p.m. with open hours 8 a.m.–3 p.m., ensuring no late nights. Training and development are part of our culture, and friendly team members thrive here.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic about hospitality.
• Must have weekend availability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Comfortable on your feet for six or more hours a day.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Previous fast-casual, café, or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen duties—including dishwashing, food prep, and basic line cook responsibilities
• Greet every customer with fast, friendly, and personalized service
• Handle customer requests and concerns with patience and a positive attitude
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens
• Learn, practice, and safely operate all required equipment
• Take orders quickly and accurately, including proper payment and cash handling
• Prepare hot and cold beverages accurately according to house recipes
• Deliver orders to customers promptly and correctly
• Keep dining areas clean and welcoming through bussing, wiping tables, and general upkeep
• Complete prep, restocking, cleaning, side work, and opening/closing duties per company checklists
