Job summary

Title of position: Barista

Position type: Part time & Full time opportunities available

Description Of Responsibilities:

• Sells and serves B&W food, beverages, and retail products to company standards.
• Safely handles hot and cold elements of food and beverage preparation.
• Maintains B&W quality standards in all arenas of cafe operations.
• Educates customers on B&W coffees, teas, brew methods, and products.
• Completes the full complement of B&W barista training in the first 90 days of employment.
• Reports all customer issues to the manager on duty before the end of their shift.
• Handles all cash register responsibilities with accuracy and integrity.
• Handles phone communication with hospitality, and professionalism.
• Completes all opening and closing tasks with excellence and efficiency.
• Regularly completes cleaning tasks (e.g. taking out trash, cleaning restrooms, washing dishes).
• Manages product inventory and merchandising.
• Reports all safety hazards, employee accidents, and operational inconsistencies in an honest and timely manner.
• Completes other duties assigned by management.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in retail/specialty store or food establishment.
• Register and cash handling experience.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
