The campus at Playa Vista is home to several Creative technology and media companies. Playa Vista is seeking a skilled and reliable Barista to join our dynamic Dining Services team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious beverages for the business community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
  • Greet and engage with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations while delivering friendly and attentive customer service.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure they are clean, well-maintained, and functioning correctly.
  • Manage and restock coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other beverage ingredients as needed to ensure a well-supplied coffee bar.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently, including providing change and processing payments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized coffee bar area, including regular cleaning of counters, machines, and utensils.

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
  • A passion for coffee and tea, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality beverages.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to engage with guests and provide a welcoming experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
