Job Opening: Part-Time Barista

We are hiring immediately for a part-time Barista position at Cafe Verde, located at 225 West Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30 am to 2:00 pm; Wednesday, 6:30 am to 1:00 pm; Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. Additional details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Preferred 1 year of previous barista experience. Internal Employee Referral Bonus available.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepare and serve coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items, handle food according to HACCP standards, interact courteously with customers and staff.

Essential Duties

• Prepare espresso orders using standard measures and recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into POS, process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and replenish supplies.
• Ensure proper food presentation, portion control, and temperature standards.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment and work area.
• Follow recipes and standards for food preparation.
• Greet customers courteously, assist in decision-making, and ensure satisfaction.
• Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
