PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans is hiring a barista in Covington, LA. You will craft beverages and food to PJ’s specifications, deliver fast and friendly service, and uphold the store’s reputation and the PJ’s brand. The role emphasizes customer experience and product knowledge.

We seek an outgoing, engaging person with strong communication. You’ll grow through training and opportunities to move into larger roles within PJ’s Coffee.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barista is optional; training will be provided.
• Outgoing and engaging personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Comfort with different communication channels (email, phone, meetings).

Responsibilities

• Present a positive image of PJ's to customers and coworkers.
• Proactively suggest new beverages, drinks, snacks, and pastries to enhance the experience.
• Prepare all beverages and food to PJ’s specifications and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure excellent customer service and store upkeep.
• Follow cash handling procedures accurately.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety per guidelines.
• Report operational needs or equipment issues to management.
• Enforce company policies and safety rules.
• Attend training sessions to grow coffee knowledge and skills.
