Blank Street, Inc. is hiring baristas in Los Angeles to deliver welcoming hospitality and help grow our brand across busy cafe shifts. You will work with a tight-knit team, operate with top equipment and maintain standards that ensure every guest leaves with a memorable experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality or coffee
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
• Part Time: 15-25 hours per week, 3 days per week with 2 peak days
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week with 2 peak days
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred
• E-Verify participation for employment eligibility in California
• Comprehensive Barista accreditation and training program

Responsibilities

• Delight customers with welcoming hospitality and turn them into regulars
• Work with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to grow the brand
• Maintain a clean and organized environment per health and Blank Street standards
• Train and evolve with the company to raise standards and improve processes
• Master company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, and opening/closing tasks
• Support the team by ensuring coverage on peak days and maintaining rhythm

What You'll Own

• Delight our customers with consistent, welcoming and engaging hospitality, taking the opportunity to turn every customer into a regular
• Be an integral part of our world class team using the best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the industry
• Maintain a clean and organized environment upholding both Local Department of Health and Blank Street standards at all times
• Partner with our Operations and Marketing teams for events and promotions to expand our brand to new customers
• Continue to train and evolve with the company, driving ever higher standards and improving process along the way
• Set your team up for success by mastering different company procedures such as cash handling, inventory, waste tracking, and opening and closing processe

Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience in a customer service position, preferably in hospitality or coffee
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
• Part Time: 15-25 hours per week, 3 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred
