Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Barista Lead at Florida State University in Tallahassee. The role focuses on crafting quality beverages, training Baristas, handling cash, and maintaining a clean, efficient coffee station in line with brand standards.

You will supervise and guide staff, ensure accurate transactions, and uphold food safety policies while delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic campus setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a successful barista required.
• Cash handling experience required.
• Basic math and counting skills needed.
• Supervisory or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must follow required dress code and read/communicate in English.
• Complete Food Handling Certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
• Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages per standards.
• Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards.
• Train and guide staff in coffee/food prep, customer service and cash handling.
• May schedule and delegate work assignments to team.
• Operate register/POS and handle cash/credit transactions.
• Balance cash drawer and deposits, adhere to cash policies.
• Set up/breakdown coffee bar and keep area clean and sanitary.
• Stock beverages, grab-and-go items, service ware and condiments.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
