Job summary

SpartanNash, located in Warsaw, Indiana, is seeking a friendly Coffee Shop Associate to prepare beverages, handle cash, and provide courteous service. You will follow procedures for drinks and food, maintain a clean work area, stock items, and support store programs while adhering to safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and retail experience is a plus. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organisational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee shop beverages according to set standards.
• Brew, mix and/or blend beverages.
• Prepare food items according to procedures.
• Ensure food and beverages are handled safely and in a clean environment.
• Operate cash register to itemize purchases and process payments.
• Stock items and rotate coffee items and displays.
• Maintain knowledge of current store programs and product locations.
• Understand use of checkout equipment and coffee shop equipment.
• Notify lead or manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Follow company policies on security, cash handling, and product handling.
