We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time BARISTA positions.

Location: Pjs Coffee Shop - 1514 Jefferson Highway, New Orleans, LA 70121. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Days may vary, weekends required. More details upon interview.

Requirement: No experience required.

Pay Range: $12.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items. Handles food according to HACCP standards. Interacts with customers and staff in a friendly, courteous manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS; accepts payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies; maintains cleanliness.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures per HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Follows approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
• Keeps display equipment clean during service.
• Thoroughly cleans equipment and workstation after use.
• Greets customers courteously and ensures satisfaction.
• Serves customers efficiently, preventing delays.
• Understands and explains menu items accurately.
• Assists in selling techniques and customer engagement.
• Merchandises display foods attractively and serves food neatly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
