+ Location: Prairie Cafe and Catering - 7700 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50266. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Responsible for making and serving coffee/espresso drinks and related food/beverage items. Handle food per HACCP standards. Interact courteously with customers and staff.

Essential Duties

1. Prepare espresso orders using standard measures and recipes.
2. Accurately process orders in POS; accept payments.
3. Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness.
4. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures per HACCP standards.
5. Maintain sanitation of equipment and workspace.
6. Follow recipes and production standards for food prep.
7. Keep display equipment clean during service.
8. Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly after use.
9. Greet customers courteously and ensure satisfaction.
10. Serve efficiently, prevent delays.
11. Understand menu items and explain to customers.
12. Promote sales techniques and assist customer decision-making.
13. Ensure attractive merchandising of display foods.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
