Job Description for Barista at NYU

We are hiring immediately for a full and part time Barista position at NYU.

Location: NYU - 60 Washington Square SE, New York, NY 10012. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full and part time shifts available. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Must have prior barista experience.

Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour.

About the Role

Summary: Prepare and serve coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items, handle food according to HACCP standards, and interact courteously with customers and staff.

• Prepare espresso orders using standard recipes.
• Process orders accurately and accept payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and replenish supplies.
• Ensure proper presentation and temperature of food and beverages.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment and work area.
• Greet customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Understand menu items and assist customers in making choices.
• Merchandise display foods attractively and serve neatly.
