Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Starbucks Barista to provide prompt service, quality beverages and foods, and a clean, welcoming environment in a hospital setting.

You will follow health, safety and sanitation standards, prepare items per standard recipes, and support a positive Third Place experience for patients, families, and staff. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of food service experience required.
• 6 months of Barista experience preferred.
• Starbucks Barista Trainer Certification within 6 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Provide beverages, food and products per standard recipes and presentation.
• Prepare items per recipes or customer requests with appropriate substitutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Communicate needs to the supervisor to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Deliver courteous, responsive customer service and respond to needs.
• Follow cash handling, safety and security procedures.
• Acknowledge and recognize team achievements and maintain punctual attendance.
• Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays.
