Job summary

Salt Lake Community College seeks a friendly, reliable team member to work in the What’s Bruin coffee shop and other campus outlets. You will take orders, prepare beverages and foods to standard recipes, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, handling cash, stocking supplies, and adhering to health and safety guidelines. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and flexibility in a fast-paced campus setting.

Qualifications

• 6 months of coffee shop or other food service experience.
• Current Utah Food Handler Permit or able to obtain within the first 14 days of employment.
• Available to work at least 4 shifts Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 2:30 pm.
• One year of coffee shop/barista or food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily operations of the What’s Bruin coffee shop and other outlets, delivering prompt service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take orders, input them into the POS, process payments, and manage mobile orders on a tablet.
• Prepare beverages and food to standard recipes, follow health and safety guidelines, rotate stock, and complete opening/closing duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization, provide excellent customer service, and work collaboratively with the Auxiliaries team.
