Job summary

Merenda Box, a Conshohocken-based Brazilian bake shop, seeks friendly baristas who love coffee, pastries, and helping customers. You will craft beverages, explain items, and provide fast, courteous service in a lively shop environment.

Flexible shifts and a competitive hourly wage of $16–$18 (tips included) are offered. Prior barista or guest-service experience is preferred; you must be 18+, able to lift 30 lbs., and be available mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Guest services: 1 year (Preferred).
• Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred).
• Must be 18 or older.
• Able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Must be willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service at the counter.
• Prepare coffee and tea beverages with consistent quality.
• Explain menu items accurately to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper food handling.
• Relay customer concerns to supervisors and assist as needed.

Our Core

Baristas provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service through excellent product knowledge, superior barista skills, and attentive and friendly customer interactions.

Skills

• Enjoy people, and customer service is second nature.
• Ability to properly utilize brewing equipment to prepare coffee and tea with acute attention to high standards.
• Efficient, clean, and organized.
• Ensures proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
• Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors.
• Serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers.
• Show a passion for coffee and willingness to learn more.
• Must be willing and able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to meet the schedule and attendance requirements of the store.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Previous Barista/Coffee experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Must be 18 or older.
