Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring for a Hastings location to prepare beverages and food, operate the cash register, and deliver courteous service.

The role involves stocking, maintaining cleanliness, and following all safety and sanitation guidelines. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with good communication and organizational skills a must. This full-time position may require lifting and standing for long periods in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee shop beverages and food items following set standards.
• Operate cash register and process payments including cash, cards, coupons, etc.
• Stock items and rotate merchandise displays; maintain clean, organized work area.
• Notify leadership when products or supplies need to be reordered.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and PPE guidelines; comply with company policies.
