Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to meet goals.
• Prepare beverage selections to recipes and standards; tender transactions.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide fresh products ordered and accurate portion sizes.
• Recommend coffee shop items to suit customer needs.
• Use equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines; label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Use kitchen equipment: espresso machine, blender, scale, steamer.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Report accidents and safety risks to store management.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business info.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
