Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Café is hiring baristas for its Washington, D.C. cafes. The role focuses on delivering warm, attentive service and crafting high-quality coffee beverages with care.

We seek candidates with at least 1 year of barista experience using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced setting, excellent communication, and a love for coffee and pastries. Flexible shifts are available, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a barista using manual espresso equipment in a fast-paced café.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and afternoons/evenings.
• Strong knowledge of the coffee menu and bakery offerings.

Responsibilities

• Provide gracious, high-quality service to guests.
• Welcome guests and answer questions; help with menu navigation.
• Prepare and serve beverages according to Tatte recipes and presentation standards.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of Tatte products and offerings.
• Operate all barista station equipment according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and well stocked bar area.
• Create beautiful and artistic espresso beverages with consistency and care.
• Support café operations and assist with additional tasks as needed.
• Other related assignments as necessary.
