Job summary

Maman is seeking a Barista in Washington, DC to craft high-quality beverages and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will maintain our beverage standards, keep a clean workstation, and build relationships with guests through warm hospitality.

The role requires espresso skills, milk texturing, and latte art under a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Weekend availability and flexibility are preferred, with competitive pay and growth opportunities at a leading French bakery and lifestyle

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of barista experience.
• Ability to pass a barista skills evaluation.
• Working knowledge of espresso, micro-foam milk texturing, and basic latte art.
• Strong understanding of POS tickets, modifiers, and beverage offerings.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve the full beverage menu according to maman’s recipes and standards.
• Maintain beverage quality, consistency, and presentation across drinks.
• Keep service times within 8 minutes on weekdays and 10 minutes on weekends.
• Provide warm, personalized service and engage guests.
• Coordinate with FOH team to ensure seamless service and cross-train when needed.
• Follow DOH standards and keep station clean and organized.
