Job summary

Stonewall Kitchen Café in York, ME, is hiring a friendly Barista to craft coffee and specialty drinks while delivering a welcoming guest experience. You’ll operate espresso machines, prep ingredients, and keep the cafe clean and well-stocked.

We value a positive attitude, team players with strong communication, and the ability to handle busy periods. Weekend availability is a plus in a fast-paced café setting.

Qualifications

• A positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for great guest service.
• Previous barista, café, or food service experience is a plus, but we're happy to train someone eager to learn!
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, teas, smoothies, and specialty drinks.
• Welcome guests, take orders, answer menu questions, and provide outstanding customer service.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee brewers, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Prep fresh fruit, coffee, milk, syrups, and other ingredients to keep the beverage station ready for service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked café environment.
• Work alongside a great team to keep orders flowing during busy periods.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Pitch in with other café duties as needed.
