Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Coffee Shop Barista who will be the friendly face customers see every morning. You’ll craft beverages, keep the shop stocked and spotless, and ensure each customer leaves with what they came for, and a smile.

No previous experience is required; we will train you. You’ll greet customers, take orders, assist with product selection, and maintain compliance with hygiene and dress code while supporting a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Strong communication with customers and teammates.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced coffee shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and deliver outstanding service.
• Take orders at the counter and over the phone, assist with product selection.
• Prepare and replenish coffee shop products during shifts.
• Monitor freshness and appearance, follow production lists to meet daily needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with hygiene standards.
• Operate the department register and process payments where applicable.
• Assist teammates to ensure a smooth customer experience.
