Job summary

The Resort at Summerlin is seeking a Barista for Starbucks Reserve in Las Vegas to deliver prompt, quality coffee and a welcoming, clean guest experience in line with JW Marriott standards.

You will learn the Starbucks Experience, work with the team, handle cash accurately, and contribute to daily operations. A 1-year experience is preferred, you must be 18+, and able to obtain a Clark County Health Card.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience preferred.
• Must maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and work effectively with all team members.
• Demonstrates clear verbal, listening, and written communication to ensure smooth guest interactions and accurate information sharing.
• Must be neat, clean, and well-groomed at all times to represent the establishment positively.
• Ability to perform simple calculations for billing, change, and split checks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute all menu items according to established standards and instructions from culinary leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
• Assist with daily requisitions, ensuring proper rotation and storage of supplies.
• Restock dishes, silverware, and other essentials as needed to support operations.
• Welcome and engage with every guest to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Identify customer needs and make appropriate product recommendations to enhance the guest experience and achieve sales goals.
• Learn and consistently demonstrate the “Starbucks Experience” in all interactions.
• Maintain equipment and service areas in a clean, appealing, and functional condition.
• Comply with JW Marriott cash handling procedures and point-of-sale standards.
• Complete “Initial Store Training” and achieve Barista certification with a score of 90% or higher.
• Follow proper procedures for ringing guest checks and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Perform all assigned side work duties according to established schedules.
• Respond to reasonable management requests and support team efforts within role capabilities.
