Job summary

Four Seasons Maui is seeking a Barista to craft coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with knowledge of prep methods and care for guest experience. You will work within the Food & Beverage team, handling orders, maintaining standards, and contributing to a warm, attentive service culture.

The role requires at least 2 years of beverage service experience, Hawaii Food Handler’s Card, and TB clearance. Expect a casual schedule with evenings, weekends, and holidays in a luxury resort setting.

Barista

Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, as well as information regarding preparation methods. This role is part of the Food & Beverage Division, reporting to the DUO Management Team. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and serve a selection of coffee, tea, and mixed specialties from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
• Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
• Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of food, coffee, tea and specialty drinks.

What You Will Bring

• Must possess good knowledge of service and food & beverage products and have had 2 years of food & beverage service experience in a similar role.
• Must maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep and maintain high standard and set a positive example for fellow employees.
• Must appear approachable, comply with grooming standards and have excellent personal presentation skills as per FSM guidelines.
• Should be responsible, hardworking and able to work cheerfully under pressure
• Should have excellent communication skills and be prepared to develop strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to work in a team or during quiet parts of the day work individually and be responsible for preparation, serving, taking money and organizing.
• Must maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
