Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking Barista Café Attendants to provide excellent service and crafted beverages in a fast-paced store. You will train on food & beverage craft, work with friends and meet new people daily.

Requires a valid MCHD Food Service Worker Permit or temporary permit, and Starbucks Barista Basics certification within 90 days. Full-time, Monday–Friday shifts; 40 hours weekly; on-site location.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid FSWP from MCHD or obtain a temporary FSWP by the first Wednesday of employment.
• Must obtain a valid MCHD FSWP within 1 month of start date.
• Starbucks Barista Basics certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality beverages and food products while following store policies.
• Operate the register accurately and label items; report deposits per policy.
• Review menu, pricing and register screen before shift.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked work area.
• Prepare drinks and foods to standard recipes or customer requests.
• Assemble supplies needed for shift and set up area.
• Deliver, serve and clean according to standards.
• Engage with customers with clear, pleasant communication.
• Store items per FDA Food Code.
• Work with Estes delivery to unload and store items properly.
• Inspect items during receiving and document refusals for credit.
• Follow equipment safety procedures and store equipment properly.
• Inventory assigned areas and follow Par Builder sheets.
• Be available for different shift locations across the store.
• Attend seasonal training periods (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter).
