Job description

Basic Function:
As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service to our members and guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty drinks including smoothies, according to club recipes and standards.
2. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment efficiently and safely.
3. Operate sandwich press machine to heat items to order.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the refreshment and work area, including brewing equipment, countertops, and display cases.
5. Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, including taking orders, answering questions, and making recommendations.
6. Enter orders into POS system ensuring charges are properly billed to the member’s account.
7. Uphold company policies and procedures regarding food safety, sanitation, and member satisfaction.
8. Assist with stocking and inventory management, including monitoring supplies and notifying your supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies.
9. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during peak hours.
10. Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
11. Other duties as required.

Requirements:

1. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
2. Previous experience as a barista or similar role preferred.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. Ability to work weekends and holidays.
